We are specialized in providing Maritime Consultancy services to companies working in the shipping field whether as shipowners, charterers, operators, managers, shipbuilders or ship repairers. Such maritime consultancies include:

  • Reviewing charterparties of all types such as time, voyage and bareboat and assist clients with regard to amending and redrafting any clause during fixing any vessel;

  • Reviewing and advising in relation to various contractual terms including marine insurance policies, shipbuilding, bills of lading, ship agency, ship management;

  • Handling maritime claims in relation to marine insurance policies, bills of lading, shipbuilding, ship repairs and charterparty claims and negotiate the best terms for settlement. Drafting all relevant documents including notices, undertakings, power of attorney, guarantees, settlement agreements and discharge and release agreements;

  • Advising clients in relation to the performance of any clause by either party to the maritime contract during its performance in order to ensure that it is performed properly to avoid any future claim;

  • Assisting clients in drafting any notices related to the maritime contract in order to preserve clients’ rights and ensure that such notices are served properly as per the contract;

  • In case of any dispute arising during the performance of the contract, assisting clients to put forward a proper argument before the counterparty and prepare for the foundation of legal arguments that can be raised before the court and arbitration;

  • Provide assistance to the client as an in-house consultant and claims handler and coordinate with clients’ P&I club to arrange for the appointment of surveyors, lawyers, defences and legal case strategic planning and ensure the club’s provision of proper coverage of cost and technical support;

  • Assisting and representing clients in arbitration under LMAA rules and assisting them in court cases;

  • Reviewing and advising on contracts of sale of ships and following up ship’s registry and their insurance; and

  • Advising clients in relation to ship finance including reviewing maritime mortgage agreements and its registration with the relevant authorities.
